Albright International is a privately owned company founded in 1946, specialising in the design and manufacture of DC contactors and disconnect switches for direct-current systems. After initially producing specialist switchgear to customer designs, the company launched its own contactor range from 1955 and has continued expanding it to match evolving market needs.

The brand is well known for power contactors suited to DC loads (resistive, capacitive and inductive). For instance, the SW200 series is designed for DC loads including motors used on electric vehicles such as industrial trucks, and supports both interrupted and uninterrupted duty applications.
